Revive Electrical Transformers, known for its commitment to eco-friendly solutions, is leading the way in sustainable energy generation with its cast resin transformers (CRTs).
The company, which has grown to be one of the largest manufacturers of distribution transformers and mini-substations in Africa, recently completed a major export order for Italian renewable energy projects – demonstrating international demand for its products.
CRTs, which range from 100 kVA to 5 MVA and up to 33 kV, offer several advantages over traditional oil-filled transformers. Using resin and air as insulation, instead of oil, these transformers eliminate the risk of oil leaks, reducing the need for safety walls and other environmental protection measures. This not only cuts down on installation costs but also reduces the maintenance burden as oil transport and on-site filling are no longer required.
Revive’s eco-friendly approach aligns with growing industry demand for safety and environmental compliance, making its CRTs an attractive option for projects requiring heightened sustainability standards.
Revive Electrical Transformers, established in 1997, offers customisable solutions for customers in South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique, Swaziland, Namibia, Zambia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Malawi and Lesotho.
The company holds several industry accreditations including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015. Its products meet local and international standards. Certified by the South African Bureau of Standards, it also complies with SANS 780 and SANS 60076-11.
Some of the other products offered by Revive Electrical Transformers include:
- Mineral and ester oil-filled transformers up to 5 MVA with voltages below 36 kV.
- Dry transformers and CRTs up to 5 MVA with voltages below 36 kV.
- Mini-substations with oil-filled or CRTs up to 2 MVA with voltages below 36 kV.
