Bearings International (BI) will run various promotions and special offers during 2023 to promote its online store, which has been operational since July 2022. The company says it used the initial launch phase to ensure all systems were fully functional and that the customer experience was all it was planned to be.
The platform offers access to BI’s extensive product range to support the increasing prevalence of e-commerce. Various technical information is also available via the platform to help customers make informed decisions regarding product selection.
The firm says that the online store will not replace face-to-face interaction for clients at branches, nor does it replace technical sales representatives visiting sites to assist with troubleshooting and plan for shutdowns and plant maintenance, or emergency staff providing a breakdown service.
The company says its segment development staff will continue to ‘walk the road’ with customers to plan for maximum efficiency in their plants and present new products, benefits, and innovation. The online platform is simply another leg of the firm’s service offering, bringing easy access to its customers and showcasing its complete solutions to potential new customers.
BI describes the platform as intuitive and user-friendly. Future developments will include tutorial-type product videos to showcase product benefits, applications, and installation. Beyond that, the platform will be extended to exploit potential synergies with other Hudaco Group companies.
