Registration has officially opened for the 71st annual Association of Municipal Electricity Utilities (AMEU) Convention at the East London International Convention Centre in Buffalo City from October 5-8.
The theme of the event is “Empowering South Africa’s energy future: Leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and smart technologies for a stable, balanced, just and sustainable energy transition in electricity utilities”.
The convention provides a platform for municipalities, utilities, engineers, industry experts and technology providers to explore how digital innovation can support the country’s energy security and decarbonisation goals.
Call for papers
The AMEU has invited submissions aligned with the core theme, particularly around the application of AI and smart technologies in achieving energy stability and sustainability. The deadline for submission is May 30.
