EE Business Intelligence, in association with USAID, Power Africa and Agora Energiewende, is hosting a series of training webinars presented by internationally acclaimed energy expert, consultant, editor and author, Dr Fereidoon Sioshansi of Menlo Energy Economics, San Francisco, USA.
The training webinars are to prepare electricity utilities, municipal electricity distributors and customers for the electricity industry and systems of the future.
The subject matter of the training webinars is wide-ranging. The first three introductory training webinars detailed below will set the scene in preparation for further in-depth training covered in some of the forthcoming topics detailed here.
Ticket costs and payments
The cost of a ticket to attend is R380 excl. VAT per person, per training webinar. Payment can be made online by Credit Card or EFT. Tax invoices and payment receipts will be issued for all ticket sales.

About the presenter: Dr Fereidoon Sioshansi
Dr Sioshansi is President of Menlo Energy Economics, a specialist energy consulting and training firm based in San Francisco, California, advising clients on the rapid transformation of the electricity sector and emerging business models. He has over four decades of experience covering all aspects of the electricity power sector.
Dr Sioshansi is the editor and publisher of EEnergy Informer, a monthly newsletter with international circulation, now in its 32nd year of continuous publication.
Dr Sioshansi’s professional experience includes working at:
- Southern California Edison Company (SCE).
- The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI).
- National Economic Research Associates (NERA).
- Henwood Energy, now part of ABB.
Dr Sioshansi has degrees in engineering and economics, including an MSc and PhD in economics from Purdue University.
