Roger Lilley, editor of Energize magazine, passed away on 8 February after a short illness.
Roger, a dear friend, respected colleague and energy expert, passed away at the age of 69 following complications after heart surgery.
“Roger joined EE Publishers from NXP Semiconductors / Philips SA to take up the position of editor of Energize magazine in early 2013 and this proved to be one of the best appointments we ever made,” says Chris Yelland, former publisher of the magazine.
“He always got the job done on time by solving or working around any issues in order to meet tight and demanding publishing deadlines.
“Roger was also very well-liked by his peers as he was sociable and friendly and was always approachable, helpful and willing to share information,” says Chris.
In 2019, EE Publishers was closed and Energize was sold to Now Media, a business-to-business publishing company established in 1953 that serves various niche industries with its titles.
“Losing Roger is a terrible loss and very sad. Apart from being a dedicated and keen editor, he was a kind and very well-liked colleague. He will be greatly missed by the readers, contacts and staff of Energize. As a community we send condolences to his family, and thank them for sharing Roger with us,” says Anton Marsh, publisher of Energize.
