National Treasury has released a 618-page report detailing operations at Eskom’s coal-fired power stations.An independent team, VGBE consortium consisting of Dornier, KWS, RWE and Steag, was tasked with assessing the effectiveness of all 14 Eskom coal-fired power stations during the period of March to May 2023, after concerns were raised that Eskom’s energy availability factor (EAF) was only 50,83% in April 2023.
