This Thursday, 26 August, Control Techniques will host a free-of-charge technical webinar “Efficiency in pumping applications” to discuss energy efficiency in pumps in depth. You are cordially invited to join the conversation.
Energy efficiency in motors is a very important matter. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), electric motors and pumps are responsible for 53% of the world’s total electricity consumption. The IEA also insists that energy efficiency is better than additional electricity generation.

Since energy efficiency is so important, the South African National Energy Development Institute (SANEDI) is expanding its Energy Efficiency Standards and Labelling (S&L) programme to study the energy use of motors and pumps available in South Africa and suggest new Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS).
